BBQ met Eilati Hollanders

Beach Balagan, as a team of 11 Dutchmen, 5 children and 2 dogs set out for a barbecue. Ruda arranged for the groceries, the dogs for the added sand, and  Anneke and Benson brought two braais. Roberto arranged out of nowhere a huge table ("where the $<@?>& did he get that from") and a shopping cart to put the BBQ's on.

Roberto

The maestro at work: being top cook in Eilat's biggest hotels and used to organize huge BBQ's, Roberto has difficulty keeping up with our consumption rate: why don't they eat a bit faster? But it was very culinary!

BBQ Nassen

Enjoying dinner in the darkness, Anneke, Sonja and Rudie help diminish Roberto's backlog. The new cool box serves as table and as chair for the photographer.

Lag Ba Omer

Making fires at Lag Ba'Omer: all of Israel smells of the smoke of uncountable bonfires all over the place. Small and big children have been scouring the city for wood, dragging pallets through the streets and cleaning buildings sites of scraps.

voeten op de railing

Phew.. giving the old feet a treat on the balcony.

werkkamer

The study is now fully operational, the shelves are level and even the fan has not fallen down. For mysterious reasons, Henk's study always transforms in a happy mess, in which only he can find anything without hesitation (Son, where did I leave the .... ???)

badkamer

Spacious bathroom: this one is really a lot more comfortable and cooler than in the house. Only the window falls out regularly, but luckily to the inside (up till now...)

Woonkamer ingericht

Color and atmosphere in the living room: the cupboard has been filled and colored cushions and cloths compensate the white of the walls. Nevertheless, we seldomly sit here, but that is no wonder with such a big balcony and such a magnificent view, is it?

Nevelen van Eilat

The mists of Eilat: a still morning created a sharply defined stripe of clouds just over the ships.
